The collaboration between GUTMAR and Triton Submarines LLCGUTMAR, a world leader in the design and construction of commercial and exploration submarines, will expand in 2025 with new projects that GUTMAR will carry out for the American company. This expansion includes the incorporation of processes for critical welding, a specialty in which the Catalan company has accumulated solid experience in sectors such as defense and railways.
The relationship between the two companies began in 2019, when Triton Submarines contacted GUTMAR from Miami to commission the manufacture of a titanium hemispherical dome intended for a submarine designed to reach depths of up to 12,000 metersThe extremely critical piece was successfully completed on the first attempt, a milestone that marked the beginning of a stable and increasingly trusting collaboration between the two companies.
As a result of that initial project, Triton and GUTMAR collaborate in Sant Cugat on the manufacture of critical components for recreational, scientific, and deep-sea exploration submarines. Part of the Triton team is currently working at GUTMAR's facilities, where both companies are jointly developing technological solutions for the international market.
With the addition of critical welding to the processes that GUTMAR performs for Triton, the alliance enters a new stage that reinforces the company's position as a leading supplier in high-precision manufacturing and advanced technologies for sectors with the highest demands.
